Raw to Ready
Riggs takes product from the kettle or the hopper and puts an accurate portion into the container. Hot product can be fed directly from a cooking vessel outlet, so nobody carries it across the floor.
Machine range
Every machine is designed and built at Riggs Autopack's own factory in Nelson, Lancashire. The range scales from a single head semi-automatic depositor on castors to bespoke multi-head conveyor lines, and works alongside the tray sealers, thermoformers and VFFS baggers you already run.
Built for
Riggs depositors suit producers filling something thick, hot, chunky or all three: the products that clog a filler designed for liquids or break up in one designed only for speed. Depositing is damage free, so a stew still has pieces in it when the tray is sealed.
In the Gulf
Many central kitchens and ready meal producers in the Gulf still portion by ladle. It works until volume grows, then portion weights drift, product cools unevenly while it waits, and labour becomes the limit on output. Riggs depositors handle product up to 120°C and can be fed directly from a cooking kettle outlet, so hot sauce, curry or soup goes from the vessel into the tray without anyone carrying it.
Paired with a Limitech cooking vessel upstream and your existing tray sealer downstream, that is a line that cooks and portions without a transfer by hand. Riggs can trial your own product before you commit, which is the quickest way to find out whether a recipe deposits cleanly.
