Raw to Ready
Footwear is the one piece of protection that walks through every stage of the line. SIKA build for the floor under each of them: cold, wet, long hours, and the packing hall where things get dropped.
Footwear range
Clogs, shoes, sandals and boots across two brands, SIKA and BRYNJE, with toe protection classes from SB to S3 and occupational O-class models without a toe cap for dry areas. Most food industry models can be washed down, and slip resistance is designed in rather than added as a marketing line.
Built for
The safety footwear on offer in the region tends to be one of two things: cheap imports that split at the sole within months, or retail brands built for the street and bought at the mall. Neither was designed for a hygiene sluice, a washdown, or a shift in a chill hall. SIKA footwear was, and it is certified to EN ISO 20345 rather than described as compliant.
In the Gulf
A Gulf food plant with two hundred people on the floor buys a lot of shoes. When each pair fails in eight weeks, the purchasing cost is only the visible part: there is the time spent reissuing, the slips on wet floors while a worn sole is still in use, and the auditor who asks why footwear in the high care area looks like it came from a market stall. The fix most plants reach for is a cheaper shoe, which makes the cycle shorter.
SIKA footwear is fitted by size and by task, so the person in the cold store gets an insulated boot and the person on the filling line gets a light clog that comes off in seconds at the sluice. We supply size runs, replacement pairs and fitting guidance from the UAE, so a plant is not waiting on a container from Europe for three pairs of size 44.
